Accommodations and Meals
At the Ayahuasca Retreat, we offer both private retreats and small-group programs, providing a supportive environment tailored to your needs. Every retreat includes all plant ceremonies, nutritious meals, laundry service, and transportation to and from the center for a complete, stress-free experience.
Our retreat space is designed with comfort, peace, and natural beauty in mind. Set within a lush forest environment, the surroundings allow you to feel grounded and at ease while engaging in this deep and often challenging inner work. Our intention is to create a space where you can relax, reflect, and integrate the insights that arise during ayahuasca ceremonies, supported by a calm and nurturing atmosphere.
The Environment That We've Created For You
The common area has been furnished with comfortable couches, chairs and hammocks, either indoors or on our shady porch so that you can unwind in a way that’s best for you. We have fully stocked bookcases with reading material on ayahuasca, san pedro and other healing plants as well as information of a broad range of topics. You’ll also find art supplies available to you if you want to express your experiences through painting or drawing.
Our grounds are exquisitely laid out to complement the surrounding tropical forest, and attracts a host of indigenous wild and bird life, allowing you to integrate the natural healing powers of nature into your journey. We find that many guests are surprised by the real beauty of their surroundings when they arrive because it’s difficult to feel the splendor from pictures on the website.
You may also wander around our garden paths, through the lush greenery that’s scattered with bursts of colorful blooms. You’ll find plenty of benches available for you to relax under the shady trees. There are streams running through the retreat with bridges, and we have a swimming pond where you can have a splash and cool down.
One of the wonderful aspects of our center is that we don’t experience a significant problem with mosquitoes and flies. While mosquito bites and irritation from other insects does occur in a minor way, most of our guests can get by without needing to use insect repellent. If you would like to bring along some protection along, however, we recommend that you bring natural insect repellents that are readily available in stores, or you can make your own.
Private Rooms and Laundry Service
At the Ayahuasca Retreat Vancouver island Center, every guest is provided with a private room in one of our forest-side tambos, offering quiet and seclusion ideal for reflection and rest. Each room includes a comfortable bed, a hammock for relaxation, and a private toilet for your convenience.
Laundry service is fully included in the retreat cost. A laundry bag is provided in each room, which can be left out when full. Your clothing will be hand-washed, carefully folded, and placed on the table in the common area once dry, allowing you to focus entirely on your inner work without daily chores.
Catering and Meals
All meals are included in our ayahuasca retreat costs, and all food that is served in our dining room is fresh, wholesome and in-line with the ayahuasca diet. Meals are mostly vegetarian, but we occasionally serve fish or chicken.
We will happily cater to those on vegan, vegetarian or gluten free diets.
Our kitchen is fully tiled and meets all Peruvian health and safety standards for ayahuasca retreat centers.
Our Maloca Healing Temple
Ayahuasca ceremonies are held in our maloca, a traditional healing temple. During each ayahuasca ceremony participants are provided with a mattress, pillow, blanket, bowl for purging and tissue paper to clean up. This ceremonial space may also be used to meditate, do yoga or go to contemplate your experience during daylight hours.
Electrical Accessories
The Ayahuasca Retreat Vancouver island Center has wi-fi available using Starlink available in the “big house” common area. It is not super fast here in Iquitos, but speeds of 2-5 MB/s are typical, and adequate for almost all tasks
Each room has electrical outlets for charging phones or laptops. We are not on the grid, but electricity is available when the generator is on. 8-9am, 12-1pm, and 6-10pm.
